Martingale – double up!
Martingale is, without a doubt, the most common roulette strategy and the beginners’ big favorite. This is because the rules are easy to follow. The strategy is for the player to choose a color on the roulette table, which you then bet on until you win.
Of course, there are both pros and cons to Martingale, as with all strategies. If the Martingale system is to pay off, the player must be willing to bet more than just pennies to be able to leave the table with a worthwhile win.
Paroli – like Martingale but the opposite
Another popular strategy is Paroli, which is Martingale’s exact opposite. Sometimes it is also called Reversed, or vice versa, Martingale.
But instead of the player doubling the bet in case of a loss, you double the win. Paroli is thus the right strategy for the thrill-seeking player who starts to bet. The challenge with Paroli is to have the sense to stay in time, before losing big.
D’Alembert
Like the Martingale, D’Alembert also means that the player raises the bet in the event of a loss, again on the same suit of color or numbers as from the beginning of the roulette game.
D’Alembert’s strategy also has a variation called Reverse D’Alembert, where in case of a win, one unit is added to the bet, and in case of loss, one unit is removed.
Fibonacci
The Italian Fibonacci was also a well-known mathematician, who developed a number sequence that today is used for everything, including as a roulette strategy. The sequence is progressive and begins 0, 1, 1, 2, 3, 5, 8, 13, 21, 34, and continues like this indefinitely.
The advantage of the Fibonacci strategy is that you can profit despite a predominant proportion of losses. The disadvantage is that the losses become more and more the further into the sequence the player comes.
Labouchere
Unlike other strategies, Labouchère, also known as the Split Martingale, begins with the player setting their intended winning amount even before the game begins. Furthermore, something needs to be noted to keep track of the investments that will lead there.
The imagined winning amount is divided into smaller amounts, which in turn becomes the player’s bets. On paper, the player now has a line of numbers to work with.
In the event of a win, the first and last numbers are removed from the line, and in the event of a loss, the sum of the two numbers of the bet is added to the end of the line again.
The ambition is, of course, to succeed in deleting all numbers from the line, because then the player has scooped up his winning amount.
